track markets, and see how it all sounds together.
Talented in various softwares, Fl Studio, Adobe, VS Code, Unity, Figma, and yes even MS Office. Anything that feels worth keeping ends up here in one place.
Built this because renting can feel like walking in blind. Rate My Rent is my attempt to make the whole thing a little more honest, a little more transparent, and a lot less “hope this landlord isn’t crazy.”
who I am
I’m Tristan. I like building things, making music, and thinking about how money and incentives shape the world.
Background
Economics and Software Design B.A with a lot of side projects layered on top. I prototype fast, jump in with both feet, and learn out loud.
- Time split between code, writing, finance and music.
- Comfortable shipping small, then iterating when it works.
- Trying to stack skills that actually talk to each other.
Right now
- Build more creative apps or possibly a video game.
- Writing guitar heavy tracks that chase a very specific mood or texture.
- Learning markets by thinking in odds, time horizon, and risk instead of hot takes.
Long term: make an album, build an online business that actually helps people, work at a company I'm interested in, and buy Celtics tickets that are not in the last row.
builds
A mix of web apps, tools, and experiments. Some are polished, some are just sketches that might turn into something.
music & sessions
Mostly demos and ideas. Some turn into songs, some stay as late-night recordings. All of it is me figuring out what my sound is.
Latest track: “Erase My Mind”
Acoustic, sadder vibes for sure. I streamed the whole process.
Everything lives on YouTube for now. Longer term I want this to roll into a real project and a proper body of work.
Gear & process
- Mexi Fender Strat, Cheap bass, Launchkey.
- FL Studio with Addictive Drums, PianoTeq, and Amplitube doing most of the heavy lifting.
- Focusrite interface and SoundToys all you really need.
live & uploads
A pinned video and the latest upload. Mostly music or the process of it, may venture elsewhere. Check my Twitch for the latest.
Pinned video
The thing I want people to see first.
Latest upload
This slot stays pointed at whatever I dropped most recently.
stock picks & notes
Not financial advice. This is just how I’m currently thinking about a few names and how they fit into my own mix.
watchlist
| Ticker | Type | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| AAPL | Long | Steady cash machine, long-term compounding energy. |
| RDDT | Spec | Chaos on the chart, but the community and data are wild. |
| NVDA | Long | Right in the middle of the compute and AI wave. |
| FIG | Spec | Design tool with a serious fan base and strong product story. |
| U | Spec | Real-time 3D across games, film, and more. |
| COST | Long | Membership and loyalty that is basically a lifestyle. |
| AMZN | Long | E-commerce, AWS, ads. Always hunting for the next pocket of growth. |
| AMD | Spec | Nice to have more than one serious chip name in the mix. |
| GS | Long | Keeps some classic finance exposure in the portfolio. |
| FXAIX | ETF | Simple S&P 500 anchor so everything isn’t single names. |
quick thoughts
- AAPL is my “sleep at night” pick. Boring in a good way, strong ecosystem, steady buybacks.
- NVDA and AMD are how I tap into the compute/AI story without pretending I can time every move.
- RDDT is noisy but interesting. Community plus data is a combo I keep watching.
- FIG and U are tools I actually like using, which always matters when I think long term.
- COST is the “everyone in your life shops here” trade. My family definitely does.
- AMZN feels like logistics and cloud infrastructure wrapped into one company.
- GS keeps me from being 100% tech-brained. Old-school finance still moves a lot of money.
- FXAIX is where I keep it simple and just ride the index.
- I’m small, still learning, and mostly focused on staying in the game, not calling tops and bottoms.
- If you invest, do your own research and pick what fits you, not me.
Visual Art
Visual experiments, cover ideas, and abstract stuff I make when I’m messing around. This space will fill with sketches, concepts, and anything that looks cool enough to share.
